First ideas
We wanted a game revolving around the theme of angels and demons, where we could follow the life of a human in his choices.
We also wanted to set up a system of players working towards a common goal, with impostors infiltrating from among them
The first version of our game was to be boardless, with cards forming a path that would award points to one of the two teams (angels or demons), making it easy to transport and set up
We quickly realized that the absence of a board would not only pose a problem for understanding how the game would unfold, but also for organization.
We therefore decided to start with a simple board, awarding bonuses to one team or the other depending on the vertical direction of the cards
Our first voting cards only served to choose a path and used a system of addition and colors
Finaly, we decided to sacrifice portability in favor of a board to simplify the scoring system:
From now on, points for each team will be randomly distributed on the board, and players will use voting cards to choose which path the pawn will take
Without a board
Addition of the board
We have also changed the voting cards to give a shape to the colors to make them easier to understand and read
We've also added effect cards with bonuses and penalties for each team.
Event cards
One of the most important changes we've made is the addition of event cards. These cards, with their rather powerful effects, add a great deal of randomness to the game, and prevent the winner from being determined too quickly.
This system also makes the game more dynamic by defining a "leader" for the turn.
